My Soapbox

We've had a few different people comment that they could never do what we're doing. They couldn't move to Africa. That we are somehow extra super for doing this. Let's just all take a moment to get on the same page and knock down that imaginary pedastal where we certainly don't belong. :) God has called us to do this and we are EXCITED! But we have some freeing news-- he will make it clear to you what he has called YOU to do! You don't have to move to Africa to be in his will! If you are pursuing Him and have a heart to spread his name-- you are probably exactly where you're supposed to be! Whether that's as a business person in Northwest Arkansas, a stay at home Mama, or someone else excelling at what they're passionate about-- that thing--the passion that God has placed in your heart--that is the thing that He is going to use in your life to make his name great. We definitely all have a responsibility to be spreading the gospel where ever we are and to be mindful of how God can use us globally to his glory, but that will look different for every person in the body of Christ. Some are called to pray, some are called to encourage, some will help with administrative details, some are called to give. We have the incredible privelege to get to go. But just because our feet may be the ones on the soil in Africa does not diminish the role of anyone else God uses to spread his name. Forgive me for getting preachy for a moment, but this is something that has come up so often recently in our conversations, I feel like I need to shout this truth from rooftops. Continue to abide in the Lord and he will show you what he has for you. Then obediently do that. That's all we're doing. :)
