The five crazy Matchells are taking our show on the road!!
We are heading to Kenya in June 2016 with Africa Inland Mission to teach at Rift Valley Academy!!! For the past few years, God has been opening our eyes to His heart for the nations- specifically Africa. We have been praying and seeking his will for how our family can be part of spreading the name of Jesus to those who haven't heard and He has been faithful to show us. But perhaps just as importantly, He has shown us how this is not just about our family. This story is much bigger than us. It includes all of you. Those friends and family who have mentored us, prayed for us, lived daily beside us and poured so much of themselves into us to make us richer- we are carrying pieces of you wherever we go. God has blessed us with an incredibly rich community and we get to extend the health and beauty of our community to His people in Africa. Thank you for loving us so well and helping equip us to go out and love others. Our heart beats for students and for the families who are on the front lines, reaching the unreached with the gospel. As you all have come alongside us and encouraged our hearts, we will get to do the same for them by teaching and investing in their children. As we use this year to prepare to go to Rift Valley Academy, we invite you to continue this journey with us. We will share more of our story and how God brought us to this place on our blog over the next few months and will share details about future plans as we learn them ourselves. So amazing to read this account of your past 20 years. I remember from the Good Friday service, remembering the Passover and God's faithfulness to the Israelites. It can be so good to trace the arc of his faithfulness to us over the years (since we're getting so old!) I'm so excited for you and your family.
