We love Grandma and Grandpa!

My parents came this past weekend for a very short but productive visit! Even though they were here for less than 48 hours, they kept the kids so I could go to an uninterupted Bible study (what a thought?!), run some errands and help with some jobs around the house. My dad prepped our dining room tile so that Brian could lay new tile over it. It turned out awesome! (When we moved in, we thought the previous owners were so kind to leave a big area rug where our dining room table would go. Turns out, the area rug was covering some pretty gross green 60s tile! After a blueberry puking episode, we had to trash the rug and were left with the oh-so-beautiful avacado, paint splattered tile. At last, I can be proud of our dining room again!) The after pic is of Mikaiah enjoying the new tile. My mom and dad spent their day and a half here playing and snuggling with the grandkids and working hard. We love you guys!

It looks great - can't wait to see it in person.

Love it! And by "previous owners" do you mean the Murray's?
Don't you love parents that just take the kids so you don't have to worry about them. Last time my mom was here I had the best 4 hour, uninterrupted, monitor-off nap!

Yes, the dear Murray's. In their defense, they hadn't lived in the house for a few years and probably didn't even remember what was under the rug because it looked like it was never moved. And they were very generous to us with all the closing stuff.
